Annual Campaign – Benefitting Resident Care
The Annual Campaign benefitting the Resident Care Fund assists residents living in Pennybyrn’s healthcare households who have exhausted their financial resources or rely on Medicaid, which reimburses only a portion of the actual cost of care. The campaign was established to ensure that all residents receive the same quality care, regardless of financial resources.
Employee Recognition Fund
By giving to the Employee Appreciation Fund, residents and their families can honor our staff for their dedication and service. The funds are used for a special annual bonus, given in December of each year.
Endowment
The Endowment is Pennybyrn’s savings account for the future. Gifts given to the Endowment are invested, and the principal of those gifts are preserved; only the earnings are used to support our mission. A gift to the Endowment Fund is a gift that will last for generations to come.
Legacy Society & Planned Gifts
The Pennybyrn Legacy Society is made up of individuals who have made plans to support our mission with a future gift and are making a difference for others beyond their lifetime. We are proud that we have provided 75 years of loving service to older adults; your legacy gift will strengthen our organization, ensuring that we can continue our mission for many more years to come. In addition to leaving a legacy that speaks to your life’s values, as a member of the Legacy Society, your gift will inspire others.
Gifts of real estate, life insurance, those through a will, and various trust arrangements can positively impact our mission while deferring the gift and not negatively impacting your current assets. Many planned giving options can even help reduce your current taxes or those from your estate.
As with any gift to Pennybyrn, those established for the future may be designated according to your wishes. Planned gifts are also a beautiful way to honor or memorialize a loved one. We are happy to honor all such desires when you share with us that you have established plans and provide details of how the gift should be carried out.

Making Pennybyrn the beneficiary of your will, in part or whole, by percentage or dollar amount, is another option that can be done easily through a codicil to your will. For example will language, click here.
