Retirement Living Expansion
We’re adding 42 new spacious apartment homes with nine different floor plans to choose from. Our spacious new apartment homes range from one-bedroom to two bedrooms with den, with balconies or patios to bring the outdoors in.

Pennybyrn’s 71-acre campus includes a classic Irish pub, an indoor heated saltwater pool, a jacuzzi, and landscaped walking trails. Enhancements will include a new cafe, movie theater, updated and expanded dining venues, shared community spaces, an expanded fitness center, and so much more!

The Lillian Congdon Transitional Rehab Center
Pennybyrn’s standalone Lillian Congdon Transitional Rehab Center will have 24 private suites and offer a multidisciplinary approach to healing and recovery with personalized physical, occupational, and speech therapy services. Pennybyrn has provided inpatient rehabilitation services for many years, and the addition of this new, state-of-the-art facility means we’ll be able to offer outpatient services, as well. Pennybyrn Transitional Rehab has a high patient satisfaction rating; in surveys, 100% of patients say they would return to Pennybyrn if they needed similar services in the future and would recommend Pennybyrn to others. We serve patients from both outside and inside the Pennybyrn community.

Pennybyrn’s Assisted Living will continue to offer the same great amenities as it undergoes interior updates and beautification to enhance resident living spaces.

Memory Support Improvements
For our Memory Support residents with Alzheimer’s or dementia who require a more attentive level of care, we’re undergoing a complete redesign with interior updates to serve additional Memory Support residents.
Skilled Nursing Improvements
Pennybyrn’s Skilled Nursing care is compassionate care for our residents in the most need of support. Our Healthcare Households are undergoing interior updates to enhance resident living spaces. An inviting and engaging serene courtyard is being completely redesigned to best facilitate the opportunity for residents to engage with nature and others.
